Beta terms
Troggal Planner public beta · version beta-1 · last updated 8 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between Troggal Ltd and the business that uses Troggal Planner during its public beta. They are written to be read. The short version: the beta is free and still being built, your programmes stay yours, and you should check any date Troggal calculates before you rely on it.
1. Who the agreement is between
Troggal Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17436457), whose registered office is 239 Jockey Road, Sutton Coldfield, B73 5US ("Troggal", "we", "us"), and the business that creates a Troggal Planner account ("you").
The person who creates the account confirms that they are allowed to accept these terms for that business. Troggal Planner is for businesses, not for personal or household use.
2. What the beta is
- Free. There is no charge during the beta and we do not ask for payment details.
- Still being built. Troggal Planner is an early version. Features will be added, changed and sometimes removed, and there will be mistakes. Telling us about them is how it gets better.
- Limited. During the beta each company can have up to 3 projects, 2,000 activities in a programme and 5 people, including invitations not yet accepted. We may change these limits; if we lower one, nothing you have already made is taken away, but you may not be able to add to it.
- Not for ever. We may end the beta, or move it to paid plans. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email first, say what is changing, and you will be able to take your data out before anything ends.
3. Your account
- Keep your password to yourself and tell us straight away at info@troggal.com if you think someone else has it.
- Each person has their own account. The account's owner decides who else from the business is invited, and is responsible for what they do in it.
- You are responsible for what you and your people put into Troggal.
4. Using Troggal fairly
You agree not to:
- use Troggal for anything unlawful, or to store anything you have no right to store;
- try to reach another company's data, or get round the limits or any security;
- put anything harmful into Troggal, or load it in a way meant to slow it down for others;
- copy, resell or rent out Troggal, or take it apart to build a competing product.
If an account is used in one of these ways we may suspend it. Unless it is urgent, we will tell you first and say why.
5. Your data stays yours
- You own your programmes and everything else you put into Troggal. We use it only to run Troggal for you.
- We do not look at the content of your programmes except when you ask us to help, or where we must to keep Troggal running and secure. We do not sell it or use it to advertise.
- You can take it out at any time. A programme can be exported to CSV today; export in other formats, such as Primavera P6's XER, is planned.
- When you leave, or the beta ends, we keep your data for 90 days so you can take it out, then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep something longer. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
- Your feedback is welcome, and we may use it to improve Troggal without owing you anything for it.
6. Personal data in your programmes
Your programmes may contain personal data, such as the names of people on your team or your resources. For that data you are the controller and Troggal is your processor: we handle it only on your instructions, which are these terms and how you use Troggal; we keep it secure and confidential; we use only the providers named in our privacy notice, under contracts that protect it; we help you meet your obligations to the people it is about; we tell you without undue delay if it is ever breached; and we delete or return it when the agreement ends.
How we handle the details of the people who use Troggal - your name and email address, for example - is in our privacy notice.
7. Check what Troggal calculates
Troggal calculates programme dates, float, the critical path and other figures from what you enter. It is a tool to help you plan; it is not a substitute for the judgement of a competent planner. Before you rely on a date or a figure - for a contract, a claim, a payment, a decision on site or anything else that matters - check it. Troggal does not give legal, contractual or professional advice.
8. Our software
Troggal, its software and its look belong to Troggal Ltd. During the beta we give you a right to use Troggal for your business, under these terms. Nothing else about it is transferred to you.
9. The beta comes as it is
Because Troggal Planner is a free beta, it is provided as it is and as available. We will take reasonable care to keep it running and your data safe, and we back it up, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or right for your particular purpose. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
- Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, contracts, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from relying on a figure Troggal calculated without checking it (section 7).
- Otherwise, our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to £100.
11. Ending the agreement
- You can stop using Troggal at any time, and ask us to delete your account and data.
- We can end the agreement with 30 days' notice by email, or straight away if you seriously break these terms.
- When it ends, section 5's time to take your data out still applies, and sections 7, 9, 10 and 13 keep applying.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example as the beta moves on. We will tell you by email at least 14 days before a change that matters takes effect, and say what is changing. If you do not agree, you can stop using Troggal before it does. Each version is numbered, and we record which one you accepted.
13. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide any dispute about them. If any part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
